1. Make the list fit your home
Water starts at one gallon per person per day for drinking and sanitation. Add more for pets, heat and individual needs. This is a storage baseline, not a drinking limit. A three-day reserve is a start; build toward two weeks if possible. Quantities below are starting suggestions, not a complete preparedness or medical plan. Answers are not saved or sent to us.

These do not need a special brand. Use the same grocery or household order you already place.
Drinking water: sealed bottles or jugs in sizes you can carry. Check total gallons on the label; a “case” is not a standard quantity.
Familiar ready-to-eat food: shelf-stable proteins, fruit, vegetables, crackers or cereal, and suitable drinks. Plan meals for each person and day; check allergies, dietary needs and labels. Buy a small trial first. Avoid items that require cooking.
Matching batteries: 3 AAA per selected headlamp; 3 AA for the ER10VP radio; 3 AA or 3 D for the selected lantern. Keep a spare set for each device, in its original packaging and away from children.
Your phone cable and wall charger: test them with the power bank. Lightning and USB-C are different connectors.
Soap, toilet paper and rubbish bags: ordinary supplies your household uses. Follow local instructions if water or sewer service is interrupted.
Paper contacts: paper, a pen and an existing folder or zip bag. Write a trusted contact, meeting place and ride; confirm with the people involved. No expensive “survival binder” is needed.
Handle medication, medical power, mobility and evacuation needs with the people who support you. A general shopping list cannot choose those for you.
3. Your shopping checklist
After shopping: test each item, label its location, and show someone else where to find it. Check the list again when household needs change.

How we chose these
We favored clear manufacturer instructions, everyday usefulness, replaceable batteries where practical, and a small number of choices. These are researched examples, not claims of hands-on testing or a guarantee that a product fits every household.
Before buying battery products, check the exact model against current recalls. Check delivery and returns at the seller before paying.
